Greed and missed opportunity

A man bought a buckle of tomatoes. Almost all of them were fine, but few had a spoilage. He picked those tomatoes, cut out the spoiled parts and ate them. Next day few more tomatoes in the buckle turned with spoilage spots. The man cut out rotten fragments and ate the tomatoes. He did the same for about a week. When he reached the bottom of the buckle there were last one tomato with sings of spoilage. The man exclaimed: How stupid am I! I could eat great tomatoes every day if I have had thrown those few spoiled ones in the beginning.
