Greetings and Salutations

Hello, this is my first time on this forum. I did poke around earlier on this forum and from what I have readed this seems like a good place to obtain some valuable answers.

I’ve been practicing yoga now for 7 years. However, my introduce to Yoga was by reading several books. First book was an Introduction to Yoga by Richard Hittleman back in 1989 or 1990. I didn’t really take off with Yoga until 2000 when I wanted to further my knowledge of Yoga by reading the history and philosophy. Which lead me to read Yoga The Ultimate Spiritual Path by Swami Rajarshi Muni and as a nice compliment I added Dancing with Siva Hinduism Comtemporary Catechism by Satguru Sivaya Subrmuniyaswami and The Book of Gandhi Wisdom. From this point forward I really dove into meditation and praticing Yoga. In addition learning the many types of Yoga and what the eight limbs of yoga meant. Add this mix with nutrition. Took some yoga classes outside while practicing at home. Eventually, I remained at home an practiced yoga and meditation.

Now, I am taking a Yoga Teacher’s 200hr training course. Which I am very excited since, this is the next step after practicing Yoga for seven years. My form is Vinyasa. But, the practice is a combination of Ashtanga, Iyangar and Hatha yoga. I’ve been reading the The Yoga Sutras of Pantajali and working towards The Bhagavad-Gita. I love everything about Yoga from A-Z 100% ++++. It’s been a way of life for me for some time.

Well, that is a summary of my own yoga history I know I still have more to learn and l look forward to sharing and learning with the community here.

Namaste

I also love the Baghavad Gita. I know there are some very nice videos from Mansukh Patel - Life foundation. He explaines the baghavad gita so lovely. He telling about his mother who said she gave him 18 angels to guide him trough all problems he can find in his life ( 18 chapters)
