Hello everyone,
My name is Dom and I’ve only just stumbled across your site. I’ve been looking through it for about an hour and seems like a nice place to start my yoga journey so thought I’d sign up and say hello!
Brief background information on who I am, what I do and why I’m here lol. Well my name is Dom, I’m 27 and I live in Ireland. I’m a Medic in the British Army with an Airbourne regiment. I’m pretty fit and enjoy martial arts and, running and weight training.
My path here is abit obscure, I first looked at ways to run better so I was lead to breathing exercises, and from there to yoga. I looked abit more into and starting reading on the benefits it offers. Being in the Army and especially from a Airbourne unit means I have one crazy life right now. If I’m not running an assault course I’m wading through the mud on 10 miles runs.
Its all pretty hectic and sometimes gets the better of me mentally and physically. I’m hoping through yoga I can do alittle bit to ease my mind after the madness and help speed my bodies natural recovery.
