That was very interesting. First time I saw yoga so effective for weight loss.
I wanted to ask one question. I learnt from a website that “1 pound of fat burns only 2 calories a day while 1 pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day !!! The more muscle you build, the faster your metabolism will be, and the more calories you will burn while at rest. When muscle mass decreases, the metabolic rate also drops.” . Does yoga help in this in anyway? I do the simple, straight Hatha yoga. I have heard of Power yoga, Ashtanga yoga and other forms of yoga but am not aware of what exactly they do. Does any form of yoga build strength the way strength training does?
