happy birthday from a fellow Sagittarian

Sean

Hi David,

Just returned from a retreat in the bush, so from me who has Moon in Sagittarius, much blessings and wishes.

Thank you all, you're so very sweet

hugs

I had so much fun! My partner and her mom took me out to a wonderful breakfast, then my acro yoga friends and I jammed for awhile. A couple pics:

Looks quite impressive huh?

Well, we cheated. I had popped him into "front bird" but popped him so high that his feet touched the ceiling. We realized that we could hold a hand in hand handstand that way

After acro we all went out to sushi and then came back to my partner's apartment for delicious birthday pie. We closed the evening out with MORE acro yoga.

Life is good

Good that you told about the ceiling trick, my eyes were two times bigger already

Sounds like you had a fantastic day!

friggin sweet poses ~ happy birthday a couple days late.
sounds like u had a great day.
hopefully a great yr til’ next.

That is ridiculously cool. I’m only comfortable with the therapeutic thai massage style acro right now. I tried to go to the crazy acrobatics one we have on Wednesday nights and I was so scared I just spotted the whole time!

What I tell my students is to test their psychological boundaries but not their physical boundaries. What I mean by that is if they are uncomfortable doing something because they don’t feel that their body is ready for it, then don’t test that limit. But if they are simply experiencing fear because it’s scary to do, then test that limit. What I’d recommend is finding the best base and spotter at the jam session, voicing your fear, and have them take you through a series where you start slow and work your way into more difficult poses.

It’s AMAZING to see how much people transform as they test those limits. It’s incredibly empowering and healing.

Yeah, there are only two women in the class who I would let fly me and put into weird poses. haha It’s definitely a trust thing for me.

It’s a trust thing for a LOT of people. It’s beautiful to see how fast the trust builds.

Are you not comfortable having men fly you?

I’d be comfortable if it were a man I trusted, but most of the time it ends up being women paired up together because of height and size and the guys get paired up, so I never really have the opportunity.

happy birthday…
