Head Stand and defective heart valve

Hi everyone,

I have a friend who is suffering from a defective heart valve. I am posting below extracts from her medical report (3 D Echo).

  1. Biscuspid aortic valve with no evidence of any AS/AR )AVA by Planitery =
    3.1cm2)
    Aortic annnulus = 1.7cm, at sinuses =2…5cm, sinotubular junction = 2.6cm,
    ascending aorta =2.4cm, aortic arch = 2.3cm

  2. No coarctation of aort, normal cardiac chambers
3)No regional wall motion abnormality; LVEF = 60%

  3. Notmal motral and tricuspid valves and doppler flows
    5)Normal diastolic functions

  4. IVC normal in size, >50% collapse with inspiration, suggestive of
    normal RA pressure

  5. No intracardiac clot/vegetation/pericardial effusion seen

She writes in her mail to me Quote
Basically, u can say that I have a BICUSPID AORTIC VALVE (instead of a
normal TRICUSPID aortic valve) and the main thing to note is the ekjection
fraction of the left ventricle LVEF =60%. LVEF was the same one year ago
as well.
Unquote.

She is a trained yoga teacher. However, she has been advised by one set of doctors not to do any inverted positions. (Headstand & Shoulder stand). Another set of doctors have told to go ahead. She is therefore a bit confused. I may add that she leads a normal life and has no symptoms. The 3 D was done at the insistence of a relative (who is a doctor) who noticed a “murmur” in the heart.

Can the experienced members of this forum advise me on this ?
