Hello from England

Hi,

I’m new to yoga; turning to it after deciding to make some important changes in my life.

For many years I’ve been working in a very stressful industry, doing 12 hour days (minimum) and travelling hundreds of miles a week. Two months ago I became very ill with chronic fatigue type symptoms: my body just stopped working. Several people gently suggested that it could be down to my hectic lifestyle. This had been niggling away at me for some years; I’d stopped smiling, laughing and smelling things properly. I was a robot.

I’ve been off work for a few weeks now and am using the time to recover and think about a more meaningful and serene life, which I know is waiting for me. I know that I can’t go back to the old me. Yoga is already making me feel calmer… and I like that feeling!

I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and getting some tips.
