Hi everyone.
I am a newb to this board and a bit of a newb to yoga. I took a yoga class in February because I thought it would help me relax- had (and still do) have some serious stressors in my life and wanted to learn how to be more bendy.
Months later and I am still at it. Depending on my work schedule, I try to fit in 4 practices at the studio per week. I love yoga. Although I still have the stressors in my life that drove me to seek out ways of relaxing, I have found yoga to help me in other areas of my life as well. I am also still working on the bendy part ;).
Here are some tidbits about me:
I work with kids.
I have a kid.
I love animals and do not eat them.
I enjoy being outdoors.
I still listen to heavy metal even though I am almost 40. \m/ Rock on!
When I bake it is usually for my dogs.
Sometimes I protest with the PETA folks.
I love reading books about Zombies.
Volunteering in disaster areas is my hobby. (profile pic was me working demolition Summer 2010 in Leogane, Haiti)
I randomly quote lines from the movie Fight Club or Zombieland.
I lack a filter.
And sometimes I forget that I am a grown up.
I hope I get to know some of you and we can all learn from each other.
