Hello

Hello all.

I just wrote a very, very long post, describing more or less my entire life and why it ended up in yoga. But just before I posted it, I felt it was more of a letter to myself than something to post on a forum.

So, Ill write a shorter version instead.

I started yoga in search for Truth and Spiritual Enlightenment. Honestly. I have been attending classes for about a year and it feels great. I was a bit surprised and maybe disappointed on how much focus it was on the asanas and how it felt like it became something separated from the rest of my life, like a little spiritual oasis in a non spiritual life. I also do a little routine every morning, with poses, breath and meditation, but it still didn’t quite follow me of the mat.
But, I figured “practise and all will be clear”, and kept training.

Recently, in a completely non yoga environment (in lack of a better word), I happened to meet a person who I found out was a yoga teacher and we had a little chat about how to bring yoga of the mat how to keep it with you trough the day. The advises I got was very helpful, not only to keep yoga in me trough the day, but it also gave me a new understanding of the practise on the mat.

Now, I’m eager pick up yoga classes after the summer breaks, trying to find the right studio and teacher.

Namaste.

Welcome Tangle, it’s great to have you here. By chance, would you be willing to share the advice that teacher shared with you?

“- Where is that knowledge you seek?” She asked me.
"- Whitin me." I answered.
"- Then trust in what you find". She told me.

That was really helpful to me.

Thanks for sharing
