Welcome oanamaria,

I would suggest you would not limit yourself to one guru, but learn by yourself and keep searching. True guru’s are very rare. Teachers are many, but often mislead and deluded themselves.

I will send you a PM.

Love & Light,
B.

Hi

I think you should look into your community for possibly gurus. Knowledge and constant learning is also important to help you attain liberation and self expression:)

You can also do more research online on the subject and network with others.

Hope this has helped you in some way:)

The guru is right in front of you. And with this I mean search within yourself for your own wisdom, an external guru are not always the answer and true gurus will look for you and will find you when you are ready.

Are YOU sufficiently developed for a guru ? Please read the thread "What is a guru ?.

I just finished watching Kung Fu Panda with my children. Aside from being incredibly funny, there was so much to learn from that ‘kid’s movie’. The best line “There is no secret ingredient”. The guru is YOU.

The best place is look in the mirror - there it is…

Amen to that Jim. Never make yourself dependent on anyone else.

You can locate an ashram in your area and consult with the teachers there.

I would recommend you do research in books and the internet. You will find plenty of info on yoga in books. I’m saying that mainly because most of us do it this way. Finding a guru is not easy. I have given up a long time ago.

Just being on a site like yoga forums can help a lot… But again, try finding a center with teachers and learn from them, ask them your questions.
