Hi all

Hi.

I’ve been doing yoga for 4 months. Never in class, only at home, but going to private lessons to learn from an instructor. Like many people, I started my yoga training during a very chaotic time in life. Im here to read up on yoga and try to figure out what style I should study.

Don’t know what else to say. I have a million questions and a lot of things Id like to share, but Ill do that later on.

Sat Nam.

Hi nice to meet you, i’m new too!

Welcome to the forums! Ah chaos, how it brings so many of us to yoga

Actually, yoga also caused some of the chaos.

So, question: If I want to spill part of my life’s story and ask for some advice, where would be the right place on the forum? See, I have some rather great friends, but they don’t really get this whole “yoga thing”, and I don’t really know anybody who is in to it. I so long to discuss life with people who have some experience with yoga practice.

Welcome to the Forums!

EnemyZ, you say you are going to a private instructor, which is awesome. What would you say to going to a group class say, once a month? Then you could begin to meet others of a like mindset. You cannot expect your friends to change along with you, unfortunately, they will stay who they are. As long as they accept you as you are and as you grow, then they are good friends and well worth keeping.

So as I suggested above, my idea would be for you to begin going places where you will find people who are on a path similar to the one you have chosen. .

Oh, and you’ve also come to the right place to discuss yoga :stuck_out_tongue:

Namaste`

Yes. I’ve decided to start going to group classes and I am looking forward to it. I feel ready to practice with other people, and I also feel that the interest is sincerely coming from within me, and not from what people around me expects. Ill try and go to as many classes as possible, without overdoing it.

I just need to figure out what style would suit me best. Or rather, what teacher suits me best.
