One of my pregnant women is having pain around the side of her hip (I left your book at Liam’s and can’t remember the name of that muscle) …tensor fascia lata (TFL) I believe. Only happened since being pregnant. Any recommendations?
TFL is correct if feelings if one of tight band rather than a specific spot which would more likely be the gluteus medius. Side bending from standing is best. Subtle rotation of the pelvis as she hold the motion would likely release tender area or just good bodywork too. Also inquire if she is constipated, this muscle band often gets tight because of that deeper cause. If so then time for fall cleansing. Blessings.
