Hot yoga question

Hi there,

My question is regarding heating sources in hot yoga classes.
I have been to both Bikram and other hot yoga studios all over the world, Tokyo, BA, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, etc.
Yesterday, I believe was my first time in a studio that used infrared heat and not a furnace or blower with humidifiers.
It was not unbearable but my towel and the floor were. I had to throw water on my towel as it was burning my feet and by the floor series I COULD NOT even lay down between postures my towel was so hot. I was dying on spine strengthening series on my towel. After the class, there was an immediate mass exodus and no one could even bare to stay for Shavassanna which is so important. I could not walk across the wooden floor it was that hot I had to run on my tip toes.
This can not be the proper heat could it?
I was so disappointed as I brought a friend for his first hot class. Are all infrared studios like this? If so, I will never go back to this place.

Some people like that hot yogurt.

I never went for hot yoga, but it sounds like the setting for the ir heating was too high. Didnt you ask the teacher or the place why it was so high?

New technology, new problems.
