An easy way to know if you are ignorant is to see how easy you get angry when other people act in a way that you dont understand or you are not agree.
I do a lot… for example I do understand why people fail to take care of themselves, but I do not agree with that they do. It makes me upset…
Should I just watch, for example, when my dear friend poison herself and stay neutral :)?
Nothing wrong with ignorance.

(it’s not as simple as that, I just like that quote)
I think I yogic sense “ignorance” is not knowing somethings, but denying other point if view…and willingness to learn and progress
Please correct me if Im wrong, cause I got lost with definition of ignorance itself… I just see people use it a lot and it is considered bad thing:)
Yes, I can agree with that. Ignorance in a yogic sense, IMO, is basically not knowing what serves your growth to consciousness. Like, for example, an athlete who doesn’t know that it’s bad to go out and get rip roaring drunk the night before a big game. If you want to be successful at yogic practice, you need to be aware of what serves you best to cultivate your practice. Discipline, daily yoga & meditation practice, a sattvic diet, etc.
Please correct me if Im wrong, cause I got lost with definition of ignorance itself… I just see people use it a lot and it is considered bad thing:)
I consider that the difference between ignorance and willful ignorance. I’m ignorant in many subjects, for example I know practically nothing about particle physics but really, who cares? However, I’m an excellent driver, have even had a class c license + all endorsements, and these skills help me drive which is something I do every day and helps me and everyone around me have a little safer time on the road.

Yes, I have many close friends who are homosexual and who I love very much.
(is this all a part of your “sacred energy”?)
You are right, your energy is sacred, you should learn to use it in a sacred manner.
First and most importantly i think it is worth mentioning that ignorance has negative connotations, it only means mis understanding. and in this it is harmless. and at various points we are all subject to it.
and its okay.
in the womb, we have the various sense doors, when the developing consciousness comes into contact with its first sensory stimulus it apprehends the following things in rapid succession.
-
the object as being a source of pain, pleasure or neutrality to a greater or lesser degree.
-
the object as being outside of oneself.
from this point on unto death of the body or what some would call enlightenment, or realization, the foundation of ignorance has been formed. The ego mind sees two. this is the primordial mis identification. anything that is developed from this basic mis understanding can be said to be built upon and perpetuating ignorance.
the father of lies as it is known in Christianity. again this is not negative. it simply tells you if you observe it dryly that the apparatus through which you perceive, is doing so 180 degrees opposite of the way in which reality is.
it sees two. a subject and an object and builds accordingly when in reality there are no two of anything. What we live in is a whole that is unified and harmonious to a degree that the brain is almost capable of comprehending, barely capable of accepting and completely incapable of experiencing. perfectly natural.
that is the seed of ignorance, all other ignorance is built upon this fundamental (and ultimately benign) mis understanding. rip the sucker out from the root.
good hunting

“how do I know whether I’m ignorant or not?”
It is very simple. You are ignorant if you do not know that you are ignorant.
“An easy way to know if you are ignorant is to see how easy you get angry when other people act in a way that you dont understand or you are not agree.”
I like this measuring stick. Knowing if ignorance will hold consequenses keeps me away from alot of opportunities.

It is very simple. You are ignorant if you do not know that you are ignorant.
but if you know that you’re ignorant & don’t do anything about it… then you’re stupid, right?

There in lies the rub!
How Do I Know If I’m Ignorant?
It’s actually much easier to tell when someone else is ignorant. Take teitan, for example. Now that is ignorant. So that is a way that you can find out that you’re ignorant. Maybe someone will tell you.
My advice is to find someone who you think is ignorant, and try not to be like them.
It’s tough to know if you are ignorant in the moment. I usually realize my own ignorance on reflection (this happens more often than I’m comfortable admitting). To be ignorant and aware in the moment is advanced ignorance. It should come with a degree.

Hey, hindsight is always 20/20. I have no problem admitting it!
Neither should you!
My ol’ Pappy always told me that learning from your own mistakes is just common sense, but learning from other peoples’ mistakes, now that’s the difference between smart & wise.
