How many times a day can you do Yoga?

I do 4 nights a week a Vinyasa Flow Yoga at my local studio. I enjoy this greatly and sometimes feel a need for more.

My studio also offers a 7 AM class.

Is it a wise thing to do yoga twice a day-morning and night?

Physically I feel I am up for it,but just want to hear from others if they do this also.

Thanks:D

Shumanfoo,
Good that you enjoy the studio workout. But why do more of the same?

There are more vital, but less physical yoga avenues as well like self-study, cleansing exercises, meditation, balanced diet and health and many. How about exploring them?

The expanded yoga has all the potential to occupy all your wakeful hours while you do your ‘bread & butter’ chores, and eventually, the whole life. Good luck.

Yoga is done all day long.
Asana is another question.

In order for you to answer such a question (or for us to contribute) the intention for such a thing would have to be discerned and revealed.

There is nothing inherently “wrong” with an appropriate morning and evening practice. My personal preference is to have a robust practice once per day, time being as difficult to budget as it is.

in the Hatha yoga pradipika

4 yoga sessions

in the teachings of Milarepa

4 yoga sessions

so 4 yoga sessions

But I say

maybe six

Shumanfoo,
I would say it isn’t unwise to practice hatha yoga twice a day. But I agree with the others that if you can get in a good balance of pranayama, meditation, and asana, that would be preferable to just asana. I practice gentle asana, kiryas, pranayama and meditation early in the morning before work, then a more robust asana practice in the evening. That works for me, but everybody is different. You could consider trying the 7am classes once or twice a week (in addition to the 4x/week evening classes), then add your own practice at home on the days you don’t go to the studio.
