How to create and remember yoga sequences for practice?

Greetings,

I am wondering
1: How do you come you come up with sequences, and
2: How do you remember them during your practice?

Do you just free flow? Or do you watch videos and then write the poses down? If so, do you write the pose names or pictures? Do you come up with sequences some other way? Please share.
