How to deal with yoga problems

Lately im having some problems with my yoga practises. After performing some bandas and mudras for a period of time (especially mala banda)i started experiencing strange ,disease like, sensations in my body which are not wearing off. This sensations are probably due to incorrect practice of pranyama and mula banda.I was wondering if anyone knows how to reverse the effects of this practises so that i will go back to my original state?

Just as these sorts of practices are most appropriately learned from a senior teacher so too are the effects best handled by the teacher teaching the practices.

Generally speaking, if an action is leading to harm it’s best to stop the action. Ergo in the situation mentioned the student may be best served by NOT doing bandhas and pranayama - with the exception of very gentle, calming pranyama or simple breath awareness.

Not having full access to the nature of the current practice, not being able to see it, be around it, or have it fully explained, makes it impossible to provide sound direction.

Working with a great teacher as IA said above is great advice. Seeking out a medical doctor if this is weighing upon you is also perfectly fine. Once you do that, one thing I might add is to not label these different sensations. Instead, sit with them. Feel them. Don’t label them, “good” or “bad” out the gate.

I say this because there are times that, as we awaken, that we feel very foreign sensations that are easily labeled “bad” because we aren’t used to them. It’s easy to label them as anxiety, disease-like feelings, or other “bad” sensations because we aren’t used to feeling that way. But in truth, they may be VERY good things. Just think what turmoil a caterpillar would go through if it resisted change when it was in its cocoon.

With that said, yes, maybe the sensation is telling you, “stop it”. But until we have a better feel for which it is, we must sit with an open mind and see if the universe will fill it with the answer.

The paradox is that we resist change and we resist staying the same.

Problem is that few of us really knows what your original state was, so it would be futile to say do this or do that. At best what I can suggest is that you stop immediately what you having doing and rather seek the help of a teacher.
