i am practicing yoga for the last 10 days. i do bhasthrika and kapalbhathi daily. when i do bhasthrika i feel tingling in my fingers. Is this a normal sign ? or anything to worry about this? Pls. guide me.

Hello Mohan, and welcome to the forum. Tingling in the fingers is not an desired effect of bhasthrika and kapalbhathi. In this situation, I don’t consider this alone to be a long- or short-term concern, but it is a sign of vata provocation and that you are likely hyperventilating during your practices.
My recommendation is that you speak to your pranayama teacher, and have them guide you directly. Pranayama is not something to go at causally: if you consider the practice can impact your health for better if done properly, it can also negatively impact your health if done improperly.
If you do not have an immediate teacher, it is likely that others will add recommendations here if you add some additional health information and share more about system of pranayama that you are doing. You should attempt to follow the directions of your current system of pranayama: meaning, if you are doing Swami Ramdev’s pranayama, then follow recommendations for that system, do not mix with another lineage’s instructions.

I guess i am not doing the pranayama with force and i am practicing 1 inhale and exhale in 1 sec. currently i am following baba ramdev yoga style and as you said i will check with my yoga teacher on what could be the reason for this.
Can you define what is hyperventilation ? if possible

Hyper means above, beyond or in excess while hypo means under or less than. So hyperventilation means excessive movement of air in respiration.
For many, such breathing does not provide enough assimilated oxygen and therefore they become woozy, dizzy, slightly disoriented, or euphoric - then mistake this for yoga.

I always recommend that students ask their teacher if one is available because the teacher is there with you, watching your body and your technique. What you have described regarding the tingling fingers is a common issue when people first begin pranayama, and it also very easily corrected with some guidance and with more practice.
