I know I said I wouldn?t

But I did

I said I wouldn’t try learning yoga from a DVD but I came across a couple of old Yoga videos by Rodney Yee (that were pretty cheap - garage sale find) so I picked them up and gave them both a try yesterday and I got to tell you the one was AM/PM yoga and that was quite nice and the other was Abs yoga or something like that for beginners which was very cool but I found it rather difficult. Now I still would not recommend learning yoga form a DVD but it did make me re-evaluate my decision not to pursue yoga training again.

I took a look around my area and found a school not to far from my house, I am not exactly sure what they teach for most of their classes, they are just have them broken into 3 different classes they are calling level I, I/II and II and then a Vinyasa Flow class and I was amazed that they also have a Yin Yoga class as well, and this is all just a few minutes from my house.

I am still waiting on a knee brace and I am going to, hopefully, return to my Martial Arts training in a month but if all goes well come fall I think I will go check out this school and take there level I class and if I like it maybe the next level or Yin Yoga, who knows. In the mean time I will do what I said I wouldn’t and follow the Rodney Yee DVDs because I have to admit I felt pretty damn good after I was finished, even though I honestly could not keep up with his Abs yoga DVD.

Oh and I mentioned in another post that I thought a friend of mine was now a yoga teacher and I found that she now she is, but I also found she is now out of the country so I guess I won’t be going to train at all with her at this time.
