I need Yoga Forum's help! :)

First of all, greetings to all the members of this lovely forum! It is a pleasure to be joining you.

I am currently developing a school paper about the “Body and Mind” concept in physical activities. I picked Yoga as my theme. And I was thinking that I could do a few questions to a Yoga professor, to know a bit about the experience of such in teaching it and the student’s feedback, etc.

I was wondering if you could help me out. Is there any Yoga instructor as a member that can answer a few questions to help me out? It wouldn?t take long.

I would also appreciate if someone could describe their own experience in the practise of Yoga. What changed in your life, the benefits, etc.

Any help is welcomed!

Thank you so so much!!!

I took up Yoga to challenge myself and to improve my golf swing (increased flexibility), but Yoga has become a twice a week practice that I love (I wish I could do it more)! As a former marshal artist/Native American spritualist, I have searched and found portals of awareness all through my life. Today i saw a Bald Eagle catch a fish in it’s claws and sail away on a Oklahoma wind (the first one I have seen in my state in my lifetime), they are very rare here! Yoga provides insights like the one I experienced with the power bird today…a moment of clarity and beauty. The people I practice with and the teachers I learn from are all beautiful. I am growing and learning! Stay on your own mat. Lose the ego. Search for beauty in each practice and pose. Expect nothing but learn each day! I enjoy the fact that I now perceive the universal Kula more fully!

Sara1,
Although not a teacher, I am a student and would be happy to help. You’ll find that everyone here is in a different place in their journey, so to find people who are in a similar place could be somewhat challenging.
If you would like to PM me with specific questions I will be happy to answer to the best of my ability.
Sincerely,
Callie
