Hi ! I’m looking to spend 6 weeks for teacher training in India around may - Aug . Looks like i will stay near nasik at yogapoint or rishikesh and maybe mysore… I know June - Aug is monsoon season, but how much does it actually rain during this time? I’m an outdoors person and would definitely like to spend good time outside exploring especially if i am near yogapoint or rishikesh .
Rains here in India, generally start from the month of June.
Monsoon season first enters south India (Mysore) and moves towards North India(nasik and rishikesh) later.
If one has an umbrella, most of the time, rains are not a problem in India. Only coastal areas will receive heavy rains and not the interior places like nasik, rishikesh and Mysore.
Now-a-days, rainy season in India seems like spring in europe
