India Yoga Association, Rishikesh/ Yoga Meditation, Kerala
just wanted to post about the India Association for yoga and meditation India (AYM), or India Yoga Association loacted in Rishikesh. I was asked by the guru chetan to post on this forum last month while i was doing the training. He was looking over my shoulder the entire time and i felt obligated to write, I therefore wanted to now write an honest review about the yoga school as it is a big commitment and expense to do your training.

the studio itself is gregous and the yoga is great. Chetan actually gives a really good class. With that said, from the moment i got there everything was about money. Chetan seemed to over work his staff , demand a lot of these ppl and served the cheapest food he could find ( at least the cook knew what he was doing and could make it taste okay) . He was SOOOOOOO artificial and if you ever wanted to talk to him about anything you never felt like he was listening. he was not a spiritual leader on any level and thus if you want to be in a setting where you feel like the person guiding you cares a bit more about you as a person than how deep your pockets are i would not sign up there.
Completely disagree with everything you just said there!
we were most probably on the same course, though it’s hard to believe that judging from your nasty comments.
Nobody forced you to write on the post with Y.Mahesh present! Why did you? It only shows how false a person you really are - how can anyone believe our opinion then?

Somehow Yogi always had time for me and for other people I know. he was always helpful and gave great advice! He is not supposed to be your spiritual guru, he’s supposed to teach you how to teach Yoga. The spiritual side you should find yourself within yourself…
For me he was even more spiritual than necessary. Not sure what you were looking for there? Maybe next time go and lock yourself up in a monastery somewhere in high Himalayas and make a vow of silence for a few years and meditate for days in a row…maybe that will be spiritual enough for you.
I’d rather have a genuine, knowledgeable Yoga instructor than some bogus Guru, claiming to be an enlightened one and dragging on his dope pipe!

Shanti Shanti Shanti…if you could only understand the meaning of these words…

I’m considering TTC at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram at Uttarkashi. What are yiur views?

One of the best programmes available anywhere in the world. Not necessarily at uttarkashi but at any of the sivananda ashrams. I did mine in Neyyar Dam, Kerala.

I decided to come to India because I needed some time away from Australia to practice yoga and be in a country that embraces spirituality as a way of life. I came to Rishikesh and found Shiva yoga peeth which has a course registered by the Government of India and Interntional yoga asscoiation. I have been blessed by the presence of our teacher Swami Sudhir who is a great teacher and a kind man. The ashram is peaceful, extreemly clean and the food is very nice and also clean and made with love. I feel stronger everyday and am very grateful to be able to experience this practice here in Rishikesh, the home of Yoga. I hope you get a chance to visit and try this course.

To “Sewak” aka Chetan Mahesh,

YOU ARE FULL OF LIES. YOU ABANDONED THE STUDENTS OF YOUR TTC IN MANILA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COURSE BECAUSE YOU WANTED MORE MONEY. GIVEN THAT YOU HAD A DISAGREEMENT OR MISUNDERSTANDING, YOU SHOULD HAVE THE DECENCY AS A “GURU” TO ADVISE THE STUDENTS THAT YOU ARE LEAVING.

BUT NO, YOU ARE A COWARD AND A FAKE. YOU LEFT WITHOUT A WORD, LEFT THE KEYS OF THE RENTED PLACE OUTSIDE THE DOOR ONLY FOR SECURITY TO FIND. IN SHORT, YOU ESCAPED.

YOU ARE FOREVER BANNED FROM THE COUNTRY AND LEFT A VERY BAD IMPRESSION. YOU GIVE YOGA A BAD NAME.

YOU ARE MONEY-HUNGRY, GREEDY, A LIAR, A MANIPULATOR AND MOST OF ALL, A COWARD. WHO WOULD WANT TO STUDY UNDER YOU WHEN YOU DON’T PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH?

YOU EVEN BROUGHT YOUR WIFE ALONG, ALL EXPENSES PAID WITHOUT HONORING YOUR WORD. THE WORLD WILL KNOW WHAT A FAKE YOU ARE. YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE, MAHESH. ALTHOUGH WE HAVE FORGIVEN YOU, WE OWE IT TO OUR LOVE FOR YOGA TO EXPOSE WHAT A FRAUD YOU ARE.

Only blaming and Blaming to a master and making negative statement to one who have full dedication for yoga.

Hello Friends

Is it not better to leave these forums for real stories and free from advertising tricks or pulling someones leg down, everyone can feel if the comment is real or not.

It can definitely be overwhelming with so many TTC options out there! I recently completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh at Rishikesh Yoga Valley, and I can honestly say it was an incredible experience. The school is registered with the Yoga Alliance and offers authentic training with highly experienced instructors. They maintain small class sizes, which ensures personalized guidance throughout the course.

The location in Rishikesh, being the yoga capital of the world, adds a serene and spiritual environment to your learning journey. Plus, their course is comprehensive, covering everything from asanas to philosophy. As for the yoga teacher training courses fees in Rishikesh, I found them transparent and very reasonable, especially considering that accommodation and satvik meals are included!

Hope that helps, and best of luck with your decision!
