Inspiring wisdom for everyone

I though I’d post these short clips I saw on a DVD called ‘Shortcut o Nirvana’. It’s about different paths and how we are all one. It has really helped me to realize that our beliefs are not really beneficial to our world, unless they promote tolerance and unity. Hope you enjoy.

I like the beach analogy Kali Baaba uses

Good clips, good theme. That Kali Baaba is a freak. He sounds like an American. Good message, though. I like the beach analogy too.

Namaste,

I do not think it is a good message because it simplies what really is a complex matter. Not all religions are the same, they have very fundamental differences. If one says that there will be a judgement day at some point in the future and the body of everybody will be resurrected(rise from the grave) and stand judgement, and another says that ones soul will transmigrate after death and take on a new body, then both cannot be right. Either one is going to be right and the other wrong or both are going to be wrong.

Likewise, if one says that we are all born sinners and must atone for our sins by accepting Jesus as our lord and saviour to get eternal life in the here after, and one says that we are all divine beings and must realise our divinity in this life through spiritual practice, then both cannot be right. Either one is going to be right and the other wrong or both are going to be wrong.

Now as I’ve said before everything about Hindusim has been backed by scientific evidence. However, no other religion has scientific evidence to back it up. There is no scientific evidence for a judgement day and no scientific evidence for Jesus being the lord and saviour.

It is obvious than Hinduism is the only one true religion on this planet. The rest are barking up wrong trees. I can hope that those people see sense eventually and jump ship. Hindusim is the only religion that can really give them actual valid methods that will allow them to develop physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually and realise their potential in this life.

This message was for the people who are about love, compassion, and working together. Obviously YOU will NEVER get it, in this life time.

Namaste,

I have no problem with religious tolerance. In fact, Hinduism is the most tolerant religion on this planet and it has no conversion doctrine either. Yes, you can work together with love and compassion, but this does not mean you are going to agree with one another. Instead, what religions need to do is engage in honest debate with one another, examine their beliefs and if they cannot stand the test of reason, they must relinquish them.

I will never accept the absurd doctrine of anatman. Not because I believe in Atman myself, but because anatman is illogical and I have already demonstrated in another thread it is illogical.

Abrahamic religions have the greatest responsibility to reform their beliefs. As there can never be any true compassion from them, if they continue to hold onto beliefs that everybody but them is condemned.

Oh SD…I bet you don’t get asked back to many parties.

Nice clips YogiAdam.

lol, You just said what everyone else was thinking

Adhominems are a waste of time they do not affect me and they do not push the discussion any further.

If you have anything to say you need to engage the points I am making.

This Forum isn’t about you. It’s about Yoga. No one needs to engage in anything you are saying. Everyone is free to engage with whatever points they choose. Go start your own ‘Surya Deva forum’ if your in such need of attention.

You still have not added anything to forward this discussion. You prefer to engage in personal attacks. That is because you have nothing worthwhile to say.

That’s where your wrong. I’ve added nothing to further the conversation with YOU. This thread is about living together as one family. An idea you seem to be constantly having trouble getting your solidified mind around.

You started this discussion by claiming this is inspiring wisdom for everybody. I challenged it. You responded with a personal attack showing your basic intolerance for divergent opinions.

Did you really expect everybody to post here agreeing with you? What is the point of a discussion forum if everybody just agrees with each other. It sounds like it is you who need to set up your own forum buster.

I will report further personal attacks.

I have made a very valid point that not all religions are the same and have opposite beliefs. Therefore how can both be right?

Tolerance does not equal agreement. I am so far tolerating your childish insults and juvenile behaviour, but this does not mean I agree with it and I will not respond to it.

Report whatever you like. I don’t care. I posted some videos which I felt had a good message of peace and tolerance. A few people seemed to like it. I’m not prepared to debate on this issue, as the basis of my spiritual beliefs rests on a message of love, compassion and unity. You don’t have to agree, but I’m not arguing on the point. If your offended cause no one wanted to argue with you, that’s your problem.

I am not expecting anybody to argue with me. I am certainly not expecting to get personal insults thrown at me because I have a different opinion. This is what you did.

I suggest you stop talking about love, compassion and unity and start actually practicing it.

and we have a winner, or loser I should say. yogiadam, down dog till you pass out

If you point out exactly what I said, that you took as a harsh insult, I’d be happy to apologize to you. To be honest, I have to admit, I can’t see what I said which could be taken as a significant insult.

Yeah I know lol, what about double or nothing?
