I am studying to get my doctorate in physical therapy and a beginner in Ashtanga yoga. My goal is to open a wellness center that incorporates physical therapy/rehabilitation, nutritional counseling, massage, and yoga (geared toward those w/ special needs as well as those who are just expanding their regular practice) together under one roof. How far along in my Ashtanga practice do I need to be to pursue a certification in yoga and do I need to have a certification before I enroll in your yoga therapy classes? Does it matter what form of yoga I bring to the experience of yoga therapy (Ashtanga, Iyengar, etc.)?

thx, I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

For those wishing certificaiton in Structural Yoga Therapy i require applicants to be either a licensed health practitioner or a certified yoga teacher in any system. Since you are neither you need to complete more education in either field to apply. Anyone is able to drop in to my course but certification requires these backgrounds. for details go to
