living with the himalayan masters is a pretty cool book to read, it is by swami rama. lot of interesting stories and some very practical insight

I agree, was one of the first books I read years ago and I have re-read it again last year. The insights Swami Rama expound in this book are worth reading and applying. Many lessons learned for myself from this book. 
one of the things I really like about it is that he talks of things we dont think are possible but I have had some glimpses of these things. and the way he explains it you dont see where he has anything to gain by stretching the truth so it expanded my awareness of what is possible and what a true master is capable of doing. He helped to clear up some things and I really like his description of the six paths of self realization
