Is Dhanurasana give the same benefits as bhujagasana + shalabhasana ?
Appreciate your comments ?
They look similar but works differently. Shalabasana for example strenghten lower back where dhanur does not in the same manner as you hold your legs weight with your arms.
And in dhanur you can get more stretch if you press more with your legs against your arms. These are the physical aspects.
You should do them all and also then you will notice if there is a difference for you whilst doing them.
Which benefits are you currently referencing and receiving in the practice of these three poses?
Generally speaking, Shalabhasana is not a back bend but rather a back strengthener. Bhujangasana is a beginning or rudimentary backbend. Dhanurasana (not to be confused with Urdhva Dhanurasana) is a more intense backbend (than bhujangasana) and has greater physiologic effect on the hip flexors (psoas, illiacus, rectus femoris).
Thanks for your kind responses. Appreciated.
