Hey!
Did anyone of you out there the 1st level TTC at that Iyengar Center in Dharamkot, India? How ist the quality of the teacher and the course?
Or can anyone recommend an alternative place to learn more about precision in static asanas? I am already Sivananda certified and I don t want to become a licenced Iyenagar teacher (I don t like Probs so much…), I am just searching a way to become more accurate on the physical level.
Thanks!!
Hey there
The training is seriously good, I have done it. Highly recommended!!!
I have not taken this particular course so cannot comment on it. I did, however, study with Sharat for five weeks this year and can say that Sharat is an excellent teacher. I think he is very mindful that people tend to get egotistical about their practice, and want to improve more quickly than they are capable of. It is for this reason that he teaches the fundamental basics in asana. He really takes even quite advanced practitioners back to the very basics, with lots of attention paid to the feet in the standing postures. There is an enormous amount of attention placed on exactness in postures. I had “practised” yoga for four years before I was fortunate to meet Sharat. I think his teaching was the real BEGINNING of my practice as since studying with him I have improved in all areas of my life.
Thanks for this helpful informations!!
Om namah Shivaya!
