Lack of energy and sickness

Namaste, I am new to this forum and hope that anybody can help me. I practice Ashtanga yoga (6 times per week) for a year now. I feel much more better, sometimes I have still probs with my lower back (sacrum and hips), but I think it is getting a bit better since I started with the intermediate series.
Now I have feelings I never experienced before, I gained weight (area of the tummy) and I am also hungry the whole day, sometimes I feel really sick and get the feeling that I haven`t had enough to eat…
I have no energy to get up in the morning. Normally I used to get up at 5 o clock to practice.
I feel quite strange and get a feeling that I would prefer staying in bed the whole day…
I get a bit disappointed ;(
Thank you so much, ahve a nice day!

It’s difficult to say without meeting with you in person, but it does sound like your nervous energy has increased, which would explain your constant hunger, nausea and lack of energy.

Have you tried countering your ashtanga practice with something more calming and restorative. A class or meditation practice that does more to still the mind and body?

A disturbed liver always causes fatigue.

Check your diet, reduce meat, increase fruits and vegetables.

A good way to detoxify the liver is lipoic acid + selenium + milk thistle. There are no side
effects.

As always, I should have added: do your own research.

Thank you very much. I dont eat meat or drink alcohol/coffee. I also try to medidate or do pranayama regularly. I dont feel nervous, but sometimes befor I get sick my stomach feels like cramping. May be it is somekind of psychological prob…Anyway thanks a lot and all the best for you!

These are classical signs of depression.

I have read that low folate levels have been associated with depression.

Recent medical research shows that supplementing depressed patients with SAMe S-adenosyl methionine often improves significantly their depression.
SAMe synthesizes norephinephrine and serotonine, gluthatione, causes DNA repair and phospholipid synthesis.
