hai, i tried doing my head stand about two weeks ago after i did my other daily asanas. i did it after i perform hand stand. it seems i dont have problem and i can able to lift up n perform headstand for the first time. but on the next day my left upper arm start getting pain. im not sure wat went wrong. i stop doing hand stand and also head stand for a moment and also any other asanas that putting pressure on my arms to avoid further injury. i thought my pain is just mild n will go away but its already more than a week n it doesnt go away. i believe there is a solution without taking pills. so is there any asanas for arm or other practice that can aleviate my pain and bring it to normal state? how about massaging oil. any solution?
Massage oil may be a good help if applied lightly by yourself or a friend, or seeing a massage therapist / ayurvedic massage therapist.
It wouldn’t be beneficial to recommend any asana-s to you without knowing the cause and extent of your arm pain. It is good that you stopped doing asana-s which cause pressure, but it might be best for you to visit some very qualified yoga teacher (with knowledge of anatomy) or therapist who can look. They would also be able to assist you in performing the same asana-s, when you are healed, in a way which protects you from harm in the future.
