In one of the QA’s Tom spoke of the boogooloo warmups for creaky joints, could someone send those to me? :
Dear Barbara,
I do not recall hearing of a warm up called “boogaloo” yoga in my work with Mukunda. I used the search function of this web site to research your inquiry. You enter the key word or words, and all posts including that word or phrase will be listed. None appear for “boogaloo”, however the key word creaky joints brings up several posts which you may be interested in. Here is a quote from one of those. Please feel free to search the data base of postings here, and also to post to Mukunda under the Q&A forum for any additional info!
Namaste,
Chandra
"Creaking is called crepitis. It is a sign of vata imbalance; the best is doing joint freeing series regularly, the whole series. If there is pain then I would recommend doing arthritis diet see www.yogaforums.com for details on it."
Post titled “Creaky Joints” 11/19/02 Mukunda
boogoloo yoga is the Joint Freeing Series with each movement done over and over again, up to 20 times. Mukunda describes doing this with playfulness as a way to relieve increased but stagnated vata . Best wishes – alyalove
Please see entry entitled “Spine Problems” entered today 1/12/03. I have been behind schedule entering the Q&A email sends into the forum. Anyone who is willing to post their questions here will significantly reduce my copying emails onto the forum site. Please make use of this interactive ability! I have also posted directly to Mukunda to address Boogaloo Yoga specifically. Any other questions about this practice - please add on to that subject. All posts in the the Q&A forum can be added onto as “post a reply”. In this way a thread of information about that subject is held together. Your interest and involvement in this forum are welcome and appreciated.
Namaste,
Chandra
