Manmade gods

“These manmade gods symbolize the most formidable conspiracy against religiousness and godliness that has ever been hatched.” - Osho. In the book: In search of the miraculous.

Just something I wanted to share with you. Because I feel like it’s true.

Why Osho wrote so many books?

Not sure why he wrote so many. But a lot of them were actually talks, which were later written down. That goes for this book as well. I think some people just prefer books to being talked to. And ofcourse, books can be translated. Talks can ofcourse as well, but it would not be the same person speaking anymore.

I didn?t know that he was arrested in the States.

Osho was issued a thirty-five-count indictment in Multnomah County, Oregon on 28 October 1985 for immigration violations, making false statements on his visa application. He agreed to pay $400,000 in fines and was deported from the United States.

Yeah, I’ve heard about it. Yet, the books I’ve read from him feel to me like truth. And there’s a lot of sense in it.

I think his words don’t speak much more than Buddha’s teachings but in a much more commercial way…

Perhaps. Though, I’ve read multiple of his books. And the way he talks doens’t seem to be commercial to me. But ofcourse, different people, different opinions.

I’d also like to say that this topic is not about discussing whether Osho was a good speaker or not. I just wanted to show you this quote.
