Meditation For Individual And Social Transformation

They are not insults, I do not see being unconscious as some kind of unfortunate or inferior state of being.

You know Amir, I had predicted you were going to say something like this  After all, if mr post enlightenment insults somebody, it cannot be an insult. Forgive my insolence master

I am guessing mentally ill now…

Mentally Ill.

Your status is less so we are really much sadder for you. Great stuff though keep it up.

I really wish you’d all stop this. Is it kind to condemn and make fun of people? Enough is enough! Scales and SD, if you were kids I’d send you to your room without your computers!

Yes. but only when they fall under the following category

Lying spritual pretenders who think they know something and are pretentious and arrogant all at the same time.

Then under those circumstances. Yes.

Lotusgirl,

I am enjoying their presence and they have not been disruptive to me in any particular way. At the most, they have perhaps been doing a disservice to themselves for not being capable of remaining balanced and centered in mindfulness.
You’ve come to the wrong place then… this place is full of people who dedicate their tiny lives to the practice of ‘wanting to be Mr right’. I find it interesting, because normally you’d think of yoga as something that would open up an individuals mind, but instead it just conditions and solidifies. There’s not to much ‘live and let live’ here… but more 'No your wrong, I’m right… you can’t be happy cause you aren’t living how I want you to"… it’s a shame that on a yoga forum, that it’s so hard to come by wisdom, humility, and UNION!!
The fault doesn’t lie with yoga but the fact that a bunch of people who are attempting to drop their ego (atma jijnasa) to discover their Real Self are discovering (sometimes unbeknownst to them) just how adamant and persistent Ego really is. Everyone is guilty of that…some of us just lose track of the goal in chase of the stimulation (intellectual or semi-intellectual exchanges).

In the traditional system (gurukulam), the students would live in the Guru’s Ashram…work their butts off and after the grind of everyday life exhausted them completely, they would be more conducive to learning and less to exhibiting their knowledge (or lack of it thereof).

It is the same story on every board (i’ve been in a few)…the ego seeks attention and the more we feed it the more it gets hold of us…time to take a break from internet yoga and focus on practice instead.

PS My teachers don’t spend time on internet forums, they focus on teaching and practice.

Now I dont’ always make it but currently I’m shooting for at least 4 hours of sadhana daily - only because I’m cleaning out some crap. ( I dont’ have to practice - ahem.)
Today I hit three hours - so far.

The rest of the time throughout the day I’m either eating or saving the world.

Is this some kind of ‘Quit Gaddafi’ movement?
