Hi,
Although I have taken a 200 hour teacher training, my main focus right now is still developing my own practice. I do not believe I should teach what I do not know or do myself (and I feel there is much more to learn). I am a massage therapist and Kripalu certified, so I have been practicing a gentle form of yoga. I beleive meditation is my weakest area and would like any advice that you can offer. I would like to eventually teach meditation and would like to know how to best go about developing my own practice. My attention wonders and I have problems being with myself. I am a recovering cancer patient (diagnosed and treated at 25, now 32) and am now experiencing more health problems. The doctors tell me its in my head but I know something is wrong and am currently seeking acupuncture as well as other lifestyle changes. I know I have a kapha imbalance. But I believe much of the body’s problem stems from the mind. My yoga practice has been very gentle, although I am starting to incorporate more sun salutations and breath of fire to cope with the kapha imbalance. I am preparing to take the SYT training at Yogaville in Virginia starting this December and am sure that will shed light on my continued path of learning, but is there anything you would recemmend me incorporating into my daily routine until then?
