Mixing breathing techinques

i was thinking about using different kind of brething techinques in one practice time.
example: using two breathing systems(b.s.), one is related to Yoga technique and other is related to Zen tech.
Yoga b.s. is like this 2 second inhalation, 3sec retention, 4sec exalation, and again 2 sec retention.
Zen b.s. is normally breathing that we use in our day life. count from 1 to 10 , and every second represents inhalation and exalation.
So tha main thing i wanted to ask is that what would happen if one uses these 2 techs in sam practice.
1 cycle would contain yoga tech, and othe would have zen tech . So what will happen if these texh are used artenatley? i came to this idea after i read some book about famous Nikola Tesla. to note that he discovered alternate electricity.
i need oppionion of a guru or someone who practice meditation whole his life .
