Mother Teresa

No, I do not consider Mother Teresa to be one of them. She was a Christian saint who did a lot of good work, and deserves credit for doing so. However, she is not the only saint in India who has done good work. There are many saints in India coming from Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist and Muslim backgrounds who have helped the poor.
Nothing. I was just thinking about all the times I checked into hotels, and that often they were owned and run by nice Indian people, and often the women wear traditional garb, and was wondering if they were likely to be Hindus.
If they are wearing saris, bindis etc they are most likely to be Hindu women.

If these people at the hotels are representative of most Hindus, then I would have to say they are about the nicest and friendliest people ever. Though the young women are often somewhat shy and/or reserved (and very beautiful).

Ugh…you know what, there was no point in saying any of those things as he will never learn. I want to delete the post but I can’t edit it…I’m not sure why.
I don’t know anything about this. What you’re describing would be abusive and should be condemned by Christians. That’s not the way to win a convert. It should never be forced.

I hope that you don’t consider Mother Teresa to be one of them.
Of course you don’t know about this. Its called Western Propaganda. This is why I was so angry at Oak. I am sick of all of this. As for Muslims, it has been proved that at times, certain Saudis have paid people to not report Hindu genocides and killings by Muslims. No Muslim nation in Asia reports Muslim killings of Hindus and if they do, it is nowhere near the extent of the way they report Hindus killing Muslims (even though they are on a scale far less than those of Muslim killings). Anti-Hindu sentiment runs from the Middle East to South East Asia.

This is what Christians do Thomas. They target the lower castes and poor people and poison their minds against their culture and heritage. If you go to India, many Indians basically poop on the caste system and would like nothing more than to make it up those people (the matter of it being a societal or religious system aside). However, lower caste hatred of Hinduism runs deep and they’re are only creating more disunity and resentment by spreading anti-Hindu propaganda in Western countries (even though hardly no one cares about caste in India, once again; rural places don’t amount to anything. I could also cite rednecks and have them represent all of Americans).

For those of you who think upper castes hate lower castes and that this sentiment runs deep in India, you need to keep quiet and pay a visit to India (and please don’t complain about the trash, the smell, the poverty in certain places; you’re not going to help the situation by creation more misconceptions of India. There are beautiful places in India too) and stop watching/reading media created by Christians. I am a member of one of the highest castes and the only thing my family judges by is character and education. I have not known one instance where they have not helped an underprivileged person (even if he/she was from a low caste) and they are strongly attached to Hinduism. My using the word caste is in itself largely an anachronism and wrong. Varna is the proper term and its merely a system of organizing society. Any oppression that has resulted from it is a product of isolationism and the development of civilization. Think of American slavery and anti-Black sentiments still running today all over the place and you will know what parallels to draw.

Of course, none of this will reach most of your ears and you will still engage in polemical attacks against Hinduism.
Your missionary tactics don’t fool me Christian. Missionary, I have observed daily how to extol Indian sages who supposedly “practiced” your Abrahamic religions (when they merely tolerated it and found some good in it to like, as in every religion they commented on) while at the same time, you spread anti-Hindu propaganda. You uncouth demon, you never even mention those who had nothing to do with Abrahamic religions; like Buddha, Adi Shankara, Guru Nanak, and so forth. Fool, your facts are highly convulsed; Muslims banned yoga because they are intolerant brutes who do not want some heretical practice perverting Islam. You barbarian, it is the same story with Christians, who are doing an infinitely more wicked job by attempting to create their own versions of yoga to ensure their souls remain clean, all the while going around and still spreading propaganda against Hindus. At least Muslims have the decency to not subvert other cultures in this manner. Missionary, I strongly encourage you to quit quoting our great people who said what they did because they strived to achieve peace and tolerance during a time when there obviously wasn’t any (and would never be). You brute, it is the 21st century now and Christians and Muslims have only proved that they are capable of being intolerant, spreading hate, destroying cultures, creating disunity, and encouraging ignorance. You demon, if those people you quoted above saw these conditions today, their tunes would drastically change. Suppose that higher Hindu authorities saw your continuous dissemination of ant-Hindu propaganda while only you speak of Indians who attempted to extend consideration towards your religions. What would be their reaction you Neanderthal? Missionary, revise your religion (if at all possible) before you suffer the consequences of your religion’s hate mongering, ignorance inculcation, destruction of other civilizations and cultures, and cultural subversion for centuries, before it comes back to affect you all.
Quotes

I thought the role of the quotes was clear for everybody: to show how many great people
Indian or not, actually defended Christianity and Islam.

There were no posts with quotes, from people of great reputation, against Christianity or Islam. Why ? Because there are none.

That shows how really isolated are such hate posts against major religions of the world.
If you cannot find support, even in your country, from its best people-what conclusions can you draw ?

(sorry double post)

Anyone who has declared someone else to be an idiot, a bad apple, is annoyed when it turns out in the end that he isn’t.
Friedrich Nietzsche

Too bad I still consider him to be an idiot.

I see here an Indian saint, Kabir, known to be the first Indian saint to have harmonized
Hinduism and Islam.

How really does this come to terms with

World-Christianity-Islam=Peace from their stupidity
from the preceding post # 51 ?

Personally, I believe Kabir and not the poster above # 51.

Who holds Kabir as "stupid ?"

World - Christianity - Islam = Peace from their stupidity

How come the Jews get a pass?
How come the Jews get a pass?
What I like about the Jews is despite the fact that the Torah does have passages endorsing the elimination of other cultures and civilizations that do not “believe,” Jews themselves are very tolerant people. When I attempt to look at the “true” teachings of Abrahamic religions of “peace, tolerance, etc,” I usually look at the way Jews act; not the actions of Christians or Muslims. Centuries of oppression by Muslims and Christians have taught them to not to reciprocate such hatred (Israelis show much restraint in their occupation of Gaza/West Bank). Most Jews I have met are very intelligent, tolerant, and benevolent people. So you see, if Christians and Muslims were like them, I would think better of Christianity and Islam for despite whatever teachings are endorsed in their scriptures, it would show that they have the wisdom to change and adapt it to fluctuating circumstances. However, this has yet to be the case.
