Muscle Pull Question

Hello,

I’m an avid yoga practitioner and I have pulled a muscle in my leg. A month or so ago I performed the pose where you lay on your back and put legs over your body until your feet touch the floor. The length-wise muscle in my right leg was pulled and ever since then I have had issues with it. I have tried stretching my leg and various other techniques but the pain still lingers. I would like to know what I can/should do to help alleviate this muscle pain and if anyone has any experience with it.

thanks so much,

Gary

Hello Gary,

…The length-wise muscle in my right leg was pulled…

In the back of the upper leg, correct?

And the pose you are referencing is Halasana?

It’s actually along the right-side of my right leg. I have done everything I can think of the stretch it out. It still persists and it’s preventing me from progressing. It hurts when I get in and out of cars and attempt other poses (especially the one that hurt me in the first place, which is Halasana) I never had a muscle pain this persistant.

It runs a little towards the back of my leg as well. Also, whenever I sneeze or cough it hurts.

Is that any correct yoga for pelvis and sacrum problem?
