Namaste fellow yoga lovers

Hello everyone I have just joined the forum and am looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing our love and knowledge of yoga.
I am studying to be a yoga teacher and recently graduated as an Ayurvedic consultant and just love how the two compliment each other so well.
I look forward to getting to know you
Anthea

Hello Anthea…you sound very interesting…look forward to your posts xx

My father used to have ayurvedic medicines sent from India by his family…his brother was an expert in it. As a child I used to look at these little packages over wrapped in Indian newspaper intrigued what they were…never asked…and when he passed I kept them and still have them saved in a box. Very old now of course. Always warms my heart when I see the word Ayurvedic written nowx

Welcome Anthea! I’ve just begun to cook in the Ayurvedic tradition  It’s super cool having an Ayurvedic consultant here and I hope you share some of your knowledge!

Thanks so much for the welcome messages.
Kareng your father must have been a pretty special man. I will try yo write the word Ayurveda as much as possible so that you can be warm hearted and remember your father often.
David what book are you using? Have you got any good recipes to share.
I have a blog of either of you are interested. Not many recipes yet but I will get there eventually. Lots of stuff on Ayurveda though and recently yoga too.
see you around the forum.

I’ve been utilizing, “Ayurvedic Cooking for Self Healing” by Dr. Vasant Lad.

Do you have any cookbooks or recipe sites you’d recommend?

Hi David I have that cook book too. I also have ‘The Ayurvedic cookbook’ by Amadea Morningstar that I like. I find her explanations of the tastes and doshas easy to understand. She also has great bits of info though the book about different foods and how they effect the doshas, I have learnt a lot from these.
Most of the time i just cook without recipes and follow Ayurvedic principles.
I haven’t posted enough to be ale to post links yet so google frans house of ayurveda and joyfull belly for recipe sites
