Name that Asana

In a recent workshop I was introduced to an asana that I wasn’t familiar with. Back at home, trying to record the practice, I realized I’d never seen this exact pose before. I can’t find it in LoY. I’m hoping the more experienced members can help me. (My money is on an Eka Pada something)

  1. From Tadasana, forward bend into Uttanasana
  2. Bend the right knee and slip the right arm (shoulder if possible) behind the right knee.
  3. Wrap the right arm behind the back,
  4. Reach the left arm back and clasp hands
  5. Straighten the left knee, if it’s bent, and stand up, balancing on left foot.
  6. Straighten the right leg

It’s a great pose, but I don’t know how to refer to it.

Thanks,

Bill

Is it this? Bird of Paradise. Svarga Dvijasana

That’s it! Thanks a bunch! Anyone have the sanskrit for this pose?

Oop. I see it. Svarga Dvijasana. Thanks!
