Hi, I've just got my Manduka Pro and I've notice there is a band about 5inches (125mm appx) wide which has intermittent patches in the surface which look uneven. A bit like that effect you get when you paint gloss paint or varnish and then drag a brush across after it has begun to go tacky. This doesn't protrude from the surface at all. It just looks unsightly to my eyes.
The issue is not raised from the surface. I'm thinking that at this price, it should be all even. I have a very cheap mat, the kind you buy in a supermarket and the rows of the textured surface are completely even.
Can anyone else with one of these mats confirm whether this is normal or not please?
