Hello all!
My name is Gina and I just joined this site today. I’m not new to forums like this, I am actually an administrator of another board (completely unrelated topic though), but I am really excited to have found this one.
Anyway, I have been practicing yoga for the past 5 years or so, on and off, and have recently kind of stepped into the next level with a Mysore Ashtanga class that I have been doing for the past few months. I’ve really expanded physically and also spiritually, and my love for yoga has been deepening with it.
I am currently dealing with a little wrist injury, which makes the Mysore difficult, but I took the last week off, and am hoping it will feel better this Wednesday.
I’m also a vegan, which I realize is a bit of a yoga cliche, but that has been more important to me for longer than yoga has been. They are just two things I am passionate about that happen to fit together. I have two cats, and currently work with animals, although I am trained as a high school chemistry teacher.
I have intentions of attending a yoga teacher training sometime next year, but I would like to have another solid year of practice under my belt before going there.
Anyway, it is nice to meet all of you, I am looking forward to becoming part of the community!
