New to the forums

Hi all,

I have been doing yoga for a few years on and off. Usually i start doing it when something hurts

Hope to learn a few things here and have like minds to commune with.

Welcome! Glad to have you here…
Namaste

Welcome  But why wait until something hurts? Why not be proactive so less ends up hurting over time?

My guess would be sheer laziness and procrastination

Hello and welcome.
I am new here myself, but I can tell you it is very nice to set aside 15 mins and catch up on different Yoga related topics.

Hello, I guess that I should have started by introducing myself here. My name is Candace and I am really enjoying my yoga experiences so far. I found this board and hope to have and participate in some interesting topical conversations with all of you. By the way I am still new at everything so please take it easy on a first timer.

Morlock,
I can relate to the procrastination and laziness. I too am having a hard time finding a way to re-incorporate a regular practice into my routine, which I changed 2 years ago. I guess you and I both have to work on discipline. I take baby steps. I’ve been doing 10-15 minutes of stretching each morning, and am working on making myself go to bed a little earlier so I can get up early enough for a full hour of practice eventually.
You can do it! Don’t wait for it to hurt - just imagine that every time you let it get to the point of hurting, it may be causing small damage that is harder and harder to correct.
I know when I’m doing yoga regularly, I don’t get tension headaches (been plagued with them all my life) and I don’t wake up with any aches or pains or stiffness. I want that back!
You can do it! Take it from a fellow lazy procrastinator. :stuck_out_tongue:
