New to Yoga looking to add to my daily AM routine

Lets see where should I start, I’m looking to add a morning session to my daily routine with yoga and or plyometrics to start my day off. So ill start with a little about myself to hopefully help with some answers.

I’m a pretty in shape guy i think, i’ve been working out for probably about 9 years or so now. I use to do a lot of weight lifting but as of the last year or so ive gotten into the interval high intesity training as well as still occasionally doing some olympic lifts and other strength lifts. I’m about 6’0 195lbs at the moment and i have some pretty intense goals id like to reach.

So im looking to like i said add a morning session to my daily routine. That being yoga. I know there are many different types of yoga but im looking for any types that would help with strength, balance, flexability,. I was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction of articles, books, dvds etc. of some yoga that would be beneficial to me.

Thanks in advance for everything

could you expound on your definition of the three things you are looking for?

strength, balance, and flexibility

well not sure how to explain it i guess the strength and balance would probably be one in the same. Strengthening the stabilizer muscles providing better balance i do a lot of handstand push ups now but ive been trying to work on being able to do them w/o a wall, or on a bosu, etc. As well as trying to work on planches things like that. Flexibility just really trying to expand my range of motion in all aspects. im looking for yoga to be a workout but could also be on some days a little slower paced. I hope this kind of helps you a bit i appreciate the reply.

Welcome to the forum mruck05.
Here is a site that is a good start. You can find a number of online classes that will get you going. I would encourage you at some point to look at joining a studio as this will add to the benefits.
