Hello!
I’m new to this site and relatively new to yoga. I’m a young student in university that enjoys working out(so I found yoga consequently) and I have now been doing yoga alongside working out about once a week. I’m also relatively flexible compared to a majority of the population(I can do the splits as well as some backbends).
A few summers ago(while I was still in high school) I was doing yoga every morning, and I can’t lie that I felt great. I really want to try and return to that “zen”. Currently, I’ve been following some 15-45 minute classes via YouTube(Slightly Salty Yoga and Alo Yoga).
I’m kinda stuck on where to start though. I would like to incorporate more of the spiritual side to yoga too(especially the yoga language, like the names of common classes, and some other words). I’m also looking for a good app to get me the names of yoga poses.
I’ve also never been to a class, but Christmas break is coming up and I was either thinking to take a class at my gym(since they’re free anyways) or take a class at a studio(I’m a bit more intrigued by this; due to the average population probably being more my age, and yoga studio is def more “zen”(no noises of weights dropping)). Also, would making my own flow be good for me to do?
