This is new to me. I like how yoga works with the savage beast to align the Body and Mind. In my 33 years on this earth, I feel humbled. Sometimes, it?s the best hour of the day.

Welcome to the forums, it’s wonderful to have you here. And good for you taking up yoga.
Would you care to elaborate on what you mean by, “Savage Beast”?
I guess it’s the stuff I don’t need to control. My instructor posed a question, who would win a fight between my body and mind? I guess the savage beast is the body. I keep thinking thru the question. I’ve come up with there are no winners if my body and mind are in conflict. Anyways, So the heart, lungs, hearing, senses, muscles, skin, bones and blood would be my definition of my savage beast The basic human body. The body can perform without a lot of intervention. Folding Yoga into my routine, I’m working on breathing, stretching, and body awareness/position. Yoga does not interfere with my life style. It seems to enhance my awareness. Since this is something new, I’ll need to keep up with the forums. The main purpose for Yoga is flexibility to prevent injury. I guess it feel like Yoga is a state of mind. Kinda deep for a Monday morning. Hahahaha
who would win a fight between my body and mind?
I cant elaborate in words why, but that is one of the most mesmerizing things I’ve ever read or heard.
Welcome Th0mas.
For most people the mind wins that fight day in and day out. They’re just not paying enough attention to notice.
