Noisy joints

Not sure if this is really a yoga related problem. But I have numerous noisy joints over my body… collar bone, hip bones, ankles, neck, spine, rib bones, shoulders… After it pops it actually feels good. Is this normal? Thanks!!

Namastey200,
Noisy joints, without pain and inflammation, is not matter of serious concern. However, it is indicative of stiffness of joints with dryness of overall muscles/skin and; may be a very low amount of decreased joint fluid.

Thank you. Is there any cure for noisy joint then? Is it possible to increase joint fluid?

Noisy joints can be managed with integratrated use of:

  1. General fitness exercises (Yoga asanas, other form of exerciseses) either preceeded or followed by therapeutic exercises aimed at lenghening of muscles of specific joints.
  2. Reduce foods that increases heat (pitta) in the obdy such onions, garlic, spices, redmeat, yoke of egg, dry fruits, etc.
  3. Reduce foods that increases wind (vata foods) such as rice, black gram, black lentils, kidney beans, green leafy vegetables especially spinatch, sprouts (without steamed), etc.
  4. Take 10 to 30 drops of any of either Almond oil or Clarified butter with two ounce of milk at bed time.
  5. Take musterd oil or olive oil with salad.

Put some almonds 3-4 in ? glass of water overnight. In the morning peel them and chew them to ? mass and Then drink a big glass of water to it. Thats like almondoil for your joints also it will lower cholesterol and blood lipids.

Also it does not have to be about joint fluids. It can be just stiff muscles.

My friend, joint problems wll not be solved only by the diet.

You should have enough physical movement and try meditation and yoga sadhna.

Noisy joints as you put it, similar to the sensation produced when “cracking” one’s knuckles is and issue having to do with the synovial fluid, or more specifically the dissolved gasses within the synovial fluid. Since synovial fluid is encapsulated, it is a closed system. When you bend your joints in specific fashions, you expand that capsule and cause what is known as super-cavitation due to decreased pressure resulting in dissolved gasses leaving the fluid and creating that pop. It’s nothign to worry about.

500 mg glucosamine sulfate + 200 mg kondroin sulfate.

however you need to live in croatia or serbia to buy such a thing, its illegal in EU:D

The function of articular structures of the body depends on the state of cartilage, tendons, ligaments and joint fluid. With age and structure inevitably wear out, because the constant movements of the dwindling possibility of renewal, there is a deterioration of the appearance of their pain and difficulty coordinating movement. Chondroitin sulfate is a natural substance that is particularly abundant in the articular cartilage present. The complex molecule neutralizes the effect of enzymes that damage cartilage, and allows the flow of water and nutrients to its cells, kondrocite. Natural chondroitin synthesis in cartilage cells decreases with age, so the time of joint structures in old age are subject to rapid decay. glucosamine sulfate as a biological substance is demountable in many body tissues such as connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, joint fluid, cartilage, bone, cell membranes. It is found in the eyes, the arteries and heart valves. As an integral element of joint fluid is necessary for the lubrication of joints and relieve stress that the joints are exposed. The body’s ability to synthesize glucosamine with age is also significantly reduced. has been scientifically confirmed that the concurrent administration of chondroitin and glucosamine can greatly improve the recovery of joint structures and alleviate painful conditions caused by their collapse. Therefore svakodenvno taking chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate may help relieve symptoms of aging joints conditioned, in osteoarthritis and sports injuries.

It will fix all your problems.

Pharmacology

The dosage of oral chondroitin used in human clinical trials is 800–1,200 mg per day. Most chondroitin appears to be made from extracts of cartilaginous cow and pig tissues (cow trachea and pig ear and nose), but other sources such as shark, fish, and bird cartilage are also used. Since chondroitin is not a uniform substance, and is naturally present in a wide variety of forms, the precise composition of each supplement will vary.[5] In fact, although many food supplement companies produce their products in compliance with human food processing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), most of them do not produce their products in compliance with the GMP regulations for pharmaceuticals, resulting in products without pharmaceutical requirements.[9]

Recent testing has revealed several flaws in the older testing methods. Without knowing the source of the chondroitin (e.g., shark, porcine, or bovine) and the approximate age of the animal, it is impossible to get a reliable reference standard, and, thus, results from previous testing had yielded percentages between 50 and 400%. In 2007, David Ji et al. reported in the Journal of Analytical Chemistry an extremely accurate method of quantification. The method included using an enzyme to break the chondroitin into its individual unsaturated disaccharides, and then measuring them using HPLC with an ion-pairing column and UV detection.[10]

Clinical studies have not identified any significant side effects or overdoses of chondroitin sulfate, which suggest its long-term safety.[11] The Task Force of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) committee recently granted chondroitin sulfate a level of toxicity of 6 in a 0-100 scale, confirming it is one of the safest drugs for osteoarthritis.[7] Moreover, its safety is supported by an absence of drug-drug interactions (chondroitin sulfate is not metabolized by cytochrome P450),[12] and the lack of safe alternatives for patients multi-medicated for osteoarthritis and other accompanying diseases, e.g. diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, etc.

While it is a prescription or over-the-counter drug in 22 countries, chondroitin is regulated in the U.S. as a dietary supplement [1] by the Food and Drug Administration. In Europe, chondroitin sulfate formulations are approved as drugs with evidenced efficacy and safety demonstrated by clinical trials in osteoarthritic patients.[13] Adebowale et al. reported in 2000 that of 32 chondroitin supplements they analysed, only 5 were labeled correctly, and more than half contained less than 40% of the labeled amount.[14] With the introduction of GMP regulations for dietary supplements in 2008, chondroitin sulfate preparations are subject to mandatory labeling standards as well as testing requirements for identity, purity, strength, and composition. United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) testing standards for the identification and quantification of chondroitin are well-established.

Thank you everyone for the information. So chrondroitin is not vegetarian!
