I noticed yesterday after my practice (which was a doozy) that a small portion of my right thigh above my knee feels slightly numb, as if it had fallen asleep a little. It is not entirely numb, and there is no pain and I have full strength of the thigh. The skin looks entirely normal. Does anyone have any clue what this could be? In the absence of any other explanation I am assuming I pinched a nerve during my practice, which was on a very hard wooden surface with only a mat. Thanks for any suggestions as to what this could be! (I would call a doctor for advice but am away from home for about 2 months…)
absolutely no idea based on what is shared.
This area is innervated by the L3 nerve, from your lumbar spine. You may want to be a little bit more gentle on you lumbar spine (avoiding extreme forward and sideways bends).
