Numbness is upper leg

Hello to all

I’m new on this yoga room thing, and am looking for some advise.
abouy two years age i started practicing tai chi streaches , working mainly on deep breathing and ny root chakra, however in the past six months i’ve been moving in more of a yoga direction and have been practising everyday but have started to develop the feeling of numbness in my left upper leg, it’s been constant and does not have any limiting effect but is quite unnerving . would anyone be able to shed any light on this

Shed light yes, fully illuminate, no.

Honestly Paul there’s not enough information in your post to draw and sensible conculsions. I do not know, for example, what poses you are doing, what actions and alignment you are doing in them, what duration you are doing them, and in what sequence.

Additionally I do not know whether you are a 40 year-old man or a 22 year-old chap. Nor do I know your health and medical background.

However I can say that the legs are innervated through the lumbar spine. So obviously when one is getting numbness or tingling in the lower extremities there is the possibility of nerve impingement of one sort or another.

well to add more info on my daily routine I do a set of ten balancing gong streches in the morning which concentrating on breathing and focus consisting of
1- opening the tan tien
2- lunges
3- shoalin leg streches
4- side strech
5- horse stance
6- repulsing monkey
7- iron back monk
8- salutation to the sun
9- back bend
10- spreading the chi
11- push ups
12- closing the tan tien

then in the evening I do a second routine of
1- padisana
2- laying down and relaxing legs into a diamond shape then bending forward so my forehead touches the ground
3- pilates
4- bow position 120 seconds (not sure if im holding the position right any advice would be appreciated)
5- attempting to do the splits side ways and forward
6- tiger push ups
7- streach legs to perform high kicks
8- back bend

Ive ben doing the balancing gong for about two years I started when i was 23 and the yoga for about six months also I,ve been feeling extreamly confrontational and frustated for the past couple of months and also a sense of what i can only decribe as ectasy ( not my normal behavour at all ). whever this is an effect of yoga or just me I dont know.

again any advice is welcome
