The hammies are always tight but it seems I have taken them, yes both of them, too far. My damn ego. Sitting on the toilet or anything hard creates nasty pain. Now I get to learn how to continue my practice without increasing the damage. Always a new opportunity around the corner, huh?
It’s not your ego’s fault but yours. You have been unpatient. Take full responsability for it like the man I am sure you are.
One way to continue your practice is to take some well-deserved rest. Please be careful - the places where the hamstrings attach to the sitting bones are susceptible to injury. You wouldn’t be the first yogi to be put out of action for months. So, why not invest in 10 days of rest first? The greater lesson is one about discernment about the appropriate amount of effort. This is partly your teacher’s but mainly your own responsibility. Don’t worry, we are here to learn.

Thanks for the response. I certainly am not trying to seperate myself from my ego. I am accountable to a fault actually. No doubt who made the decision to move too deeply into the pose…me!
