hi Brenda…
Whoaaa.a…the guy who did the first test messed up big time.
TYS – Sanskrit Test 1

He says the meaning of Hatha is Force and Forceful and not Sun-Moon…He/She made a massive programminer error…You might wanna pass it on to those guys…

Yours truly
Viraagi

Dear Viraagi,

There is NO error in the definition of “hatha” that you find on our site. You might want to check a reputable Sanskrit/English dictionary. Force/forceful is correct. Sun/moon is the esoteric connotation and not the literal meaning.

Kind regards, in Yoga,

Brenda

Hi Brenda…
aaha… I should have checked first, before passing out the statement like that…I checked a few online dictionaries…(that’s the only immediate resource I have at my disposal…)…and they agree with you…

I am still somewhat skeptical…I’ll get back to you on this before I make any more rash statements…Sanskrit is a quite complex, even people who have been learning it for over a decade, can make pronounciation mistakes, there by changing the entire meaning…

You doubt Georg’s wife <LOL>. Great, right:-)
With the Shambhala Encyclopedia of Yoga right on the desk here it’s tough not to chuckle. I enjoyed these Brenda. Great study guide until I got to section three and every answer was the right one <LOL>.

Great to hear you enjoyed the Sanskrit quizzes! It certainly helps to have the Shambhala Encyclopedia of Yoga sitting next to you . By the way, there are some incorrect answers in the third quiz.

We plan on uploading more soon. Would you like to see some that are more difficult?
