Opening the chakras

Hello everyone,
I have been practising Kundalini yoga and working on clearing my chakras. Can someone tell me please how I will know when I have opened my root chakra as I am very new to yoga? I realise it is not something to be rushed and that it could be a long process, but I would like to know how I will know when I am ready to progress to the next chakra and what to expect.
Many thanks

Sorry to disappoint you, but you need to examine your concepts of a “chakra”, “opening” and “clearing”. Chakra is not an organ and has no fixed location. Chakras belong to a subtle domain that is inaccessible to ordinary senses and hence requires unconventional perception. So, as a first step, give up your set ideas about chakras.

Meditate on another thing, a “word”. Spoken word, can you see it, catch it, store it? But how sure you are when you hear it. In reality, its a vibration pattern. Likewise, chakra is a vibration pattern of a special kind that creates centrifugal force. It is not known by itself, but known from ?what it does?.
?Opening? also need not mean anything conventional. Chakra being a force could be rejuvenated, streamlined. Its clearing could mean unclogging the channels that supply energy to a chakra.

Don?t think chakras, feel them.

Thanks for your reply which is much appreciated. I was already aware that a chakra is not an organ to be physically opened as such, perhaps I didn’t explain myself clearly.

I am new to yoga and was wondering what kind of feelings to expect and how I would know when I was ready to move on. Your comments are helpful, am I right in understanding that it cannot be described but you will just know when it happens?

Best wishes

You said it. Trust Ishvara, the inner guru.
